Último viernes… mientras un grupo se queda en casa avanzando en sus proyectos y preparándose para la vuelta, otro hace turismo por Petrer.

Hoy tenemos la suerte de contar con un guía que nos ha proporcionado la oficina de Turismo, David, que nos cuenta con todo detalle la historia de Petrer y sus bonitas calles empedradas.

Las chicas visitan la propia Oficina de Turismo, con mosaicos de crochet preciosos, el castillo, las cuevas, el casco antiguo… las Breakers, una vez más, sorprendidas en todo momento. Después, cafetico local y de vuelta a Genion Lab.

Lo que viene a continuación es algo que ni esperábamos y ha superado todo… anoche redactamos un borrador de Manifesto para crear un grupo que nos mantuviera unidos a ellas (no queremos perderlas) pero la sesión termina con mucho más: la creación de FEMION, un Think Tank de Mujeres Europeas comprometido con la resolución de retos locales y globales. Wow, impresionante. Sin palabras.

Para la despedida, rincón con encanto: casa rural La Esperanza, en Caprala (Petrer). Cata de aceites locales, los mejores arroces de montaña alicantinos y un sorpresón que nos vuelve a dejar boquiabiertos: la canción de The Break Vinalopó (Eline a la guitarra, las breakers a una con coreografía incluida y el estribillo más pegadizo del mundo: «we break out, we break free, we break down, we break through… this is the break»).

La despedida se alarga hasta muy tarde, ya en la casa de las breakers nos preparan cena, copitas, baile… y regalos (y otra vez a llorar) Resulta que este blog no es el único Diario de su experiencia sino que han preparado todo un álbum con fotos y dedicatorias de las 12 para el equipo de Genion. En fin, sin palabras de nuevo. La despedida en Madrid a la vuelta de la esquina ya. Último finde en el Vinalopó…

Last Friday… while one group stays at home advancing in their projects and preparing for the return trip, another group goes sightseeing in Petrer.

Today we are lucky enough to have a guide provided by the Tourist Office, David, who tells us in detail about the history of Petrer and its beautiful cobbled streets.

The girls visit the Tourist Office, with beautiful crochet mosaics, the castle, the caves, the old town… the Breakers, once again, surprised throughout. Afterwards, local coffee and back to Genion Lab.

What comes next is something we didn’t even expect and has surpassed everything… last night we drafted a Manifesto to create a group to keep us united with them (we don’t want to lose them) but the session ends with much more: the creation of FEMION, a Think Tank of European Women committed to solving local and global challenges. Wow, impressive. Speechless.

For the farewell, a charming place: rural house La Esperanza, in Caprala (Petrer). Local olive oil tasting, the best Alicante mountain rice dishes and a surprise that leaves us speechless once again: the song by The Break Vinalopó (Eline on guitar, the breakers in one with choreography and the catchiest chorus in the world: «we break out, we break free, we break down, we break through… this is the break»).

The farewell lasts until very late, and at the breakers’ house they prepare dinner, drinks, dancing… and presents (and again to cry). It turns out that this blog is not the only diary of their experience but they have prepared a whole album with photos and dedications of the 12 of them for the Genion team.
